To ensure that the candle burns evenly and does not form a "tunnel", burn it for the first time until the entire top layer of wax melts (usually 1.5–2 hours). Before each subsequent burning, shorten the wick to 0.5 cm - this will ensure a clean flame and prevent smoking.
